(Pittsburg, CA) Kel began his barber career in the fifth grade when his mother brought him his first pair of clippers for Christmas. As soon as he was old enough he began his apprenticeship at a local barbershop and when comparing his talents to others who have been in the field long beyond him, Kel felt discouraged. But the motivation to open his own shop, made him continue to practice and observe others around him for technique. He now owns his own shop where he gives the same opportunity that was given to him to upcoming barbers.
