Usher’s “South of France” haircut by Curtis Smith

This week, we’re shining the spotlight one of the greatest entrepreneurs in the haircare industry – Curtis Smith, celebrity barber to a host of A-list entertainers (Sean “Diddy” Combs, Usher, Will Smith, Nas) and the founder/owner of Xotics haircare products

No profile on Curtis Smith would be complete without mentioning the “South of France” style that he created for R&B singer Usher. The hairstyle spawned its own cult-following and Internet meme (“4-dimensional haircut”). We’ve assembled two videos that explain the style in more detail.

In the first video, we have Usher himself in the barber’s chair talking with Curtis Smith on how the cut came about. On the second video, celebrity stylist James Wealthy gives a great follow-up with a modified/updated version of the South of France that was done on one of his clients.
