This time around the Bronner Bros trade-show was surreal for me. The Andis Company surprised me with a commercial that featured my work and featured it during the Andis Total Look Barber Competition that was seen by the entire exhibit floor.

Curtis Smith, creator of Xotics products, showed barber love and his appreciation for the educational work done I’ve done during the past year by awarding me with the Educator Of The Year Award. Being recognized by my friend/mentor Curtis Smith for the impact that I have made as an educator goes a long way!!! Whenever someone who has been cutting hair longer than I have and has been involved in more things then I have, it leads me to easily say his opinion is very credible.

It always good to be at the Bronner Bros show because I appreciate all the love from the show attendees, and I’m always inspired by my barber brothers who are making a professional and positive impact on the industry too.
My additional personal satisfaction came from six of my fourteen member staff attended the show for the first time. As result they met a good friend of mine, Darrin Lyons aka dlmasterbarber, career celebrity barber, left a major impression on them that they much appreciated.

Their first day in Atlanta was topped by my good friend Wyatt Belton, union barber for movies such as “Hunger Games”, introduced us to Mekhi Phifer. During my conversation with Mekhi I found out that he is a an Andis fan too. My staff was exposed to much more than they anticipated and now have a motivation to attain more in this industry than ever before all thanks to their “Bronnor Bros Experience”.

They also get a chance to see me in action but for them to see how others viewed me and to hear me explain step by step a haircut, and hairstyle on stage they have gained addition respect for the beauty industry.
