Osterbuhr trimmed all lengths in downtown Le Mars

Barber Bill Osterbuhr has seen the long and short of the hair business in his 19 years at Curry’s Barbership on Central Avenue in Le Mars.
Osterbuhr retired Sept. 22 from cutting hair for customers who sat in the middle of the three barber’s chairs in the business owned by barber Don Curry, of Le Mars.

The biggest change Osterbuhr saw in his hair-cutting career involved men’s hair styles.

“From long to short and back to long and now we’re in a period of time where there’s long hair and very short hair,” he said. “Some like to have their hair shaved off entirely right down to the scalp.” (Full Story)
