New barbershop brings men’s haircuts back to Georgetown

For the first time in years, men and boys in Georgetown won’t have to leave town to get a haircut.
The Georgetown Barbershop quietly opened its doors last week at 109 E. Market St., the former location of Wayne’s Barbershop, which became Shelly’s Barbershop before it closed about five years ago.
“Cutting hair has been a hobby and a passion of mine for a long time,” owner Robert Kauffman said. “Georgetown seemed like the perfect place for me to open my own barbershop, especially since there was nowhere else in town where men could go for a trim.”
