Tamika’s Take – Attending The Premiere Hair Show Birmingham 2014

This month, Tamika takes us to the annual Premiere Hair Show – Birmingham, AL where top haircare educators and brands showcased their best offerings…!

Beauty industry professionals packed the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Center to see two of the biggest days in the industry when the Southeastern beauty industry gathered on October 19 & 20, 2014, for The Premiere Show Birmingham. Many of the top beauty brands exhibited their latest creations and new styling trends for the fall.
La-Brasiliana presented many products including their signature Keratin treatment with collagen. This is a revolutionary process that transforms hair to its healthy state. Unlike other products available on the market, La-Brasiliana protein replenishes the condition of the hair, without damage, and can be used on all hair types.

The Premiere Beauty Show also welcomed Starr Stylist to the show. Owner Carla Nelson stated that with many professionals using technology to track client’s appointments and for good record keeping there is still a need for her new appointment book that tracks your clients, retail sales and tips.

According to Carla, “Starr Stylist was designed to help simplify the bookkeeping process that most of us in the Beauty Industry try to avoid. I needed some accountability but didn’t have the time or patience to keep good records, or so I thought. Then I began to develop the STARR system. It’s simple and easy to use, and my business has never been better”.

Finally, the Wahl Education & Artistic Team WOW’d a group of spectators with a new cutting technique, while explaining fundamental principles to ensure a polished look. Wahl believes that in order to have longevity and success in this industry, it is crucial to meld these fundamentals with your education, creating your identity as an artist.
