Bets on which barbershop customer would win a race outside of Big G’s Barbershop in the Briggs Chaney section of Silver Spring turned out to be not-so-friendly, according to police.

Eric Rice, 52, faces assault charges after police accused him of cutting a fellow customer’s hand with barber’s shears after the men argued over who won the race. Rice also is charged with punching a second man…
