From Ex-Con to Master Barber..!

Local TV news affiliate WBNS in Columbus, Ohio presents this feel-good piece out of Newark, NJ about James Alverson, a former convict who’s turned his life around through barbering.

As an ex-con turned master barber, James cuts at the recently opened Second Chance Barbershop. Sponsored by a Newark, NJ faith-based non-profit, the Second Chance Program provides counselling, lifeskills and money management training as part of a year-long program to transition ex-cons into the workforce.
