Muffen, president and CEO of Muffen’s International Salon, has cosmetology in her DNA. Born and raised in Boston, MA, Muffen was practically trained from the crib at her mother’s salon – located in the Mattapan part of the city. A visionary with diverse skills, Muffen is a kaleidoscope of talent and creative genius.
Her hair artistry credits are impressive…! She has placed in many national/international hair battles including Baddest of the Bad in Atlanta and was the was the winner of the International Hair Show (IHS) in New Jersey in 2008. She’s been a “goto” stylist to several clebrities and her creations have appeared on Amercia’s Next Top Model as well as the Tyra Banks Show.
But her ambition doesn’t stop there… In addition to her boston-based salon and competitions, Muffen is editor in chief of Finest Stylist/ Finest Barber (FS/FB) International Hair Magazine, where she showcases the best the Northeast and surrounding states has to offer in styling, fashion, and trends. The magazine sponsors Boston’s Official Finest Stylist International Hair Competition & Show as well as the Battle of the Sexes Hair Show and Competition (scheduled for July 28-29 in Los Angeles, CA and November 10-11 in Boston, MA).
