Empowering Through Beauty’s Style Me Successful Event Recap

On January 11, 2015 Empowering Through Beauty held its annual Style Me Successful Event, with approximately 150 low income and unemployed individuals and families in attendance.

Founder and CEO Tanisha Akinloye offered words of encouragement and motivation for the new year to all of the attendees:

“This New Year is a new beginning for each of you and we are here to support you…” Tanisha Akinloye, Founder and CEO of Empowering Through Beauty

The latest beauty and make-up trends were provided by professional makeup artists, and professional hairstylist; while barbers provided fashionable haircuts. Photographers were on-site and provided free photography for the guests. Empowering Through Beauty also offered HIV and hepatitis testing, dental and wellness assistance, and job readiness resources. As attendees ended their days, they walked away feeling renewed and energized to begin 2016 successfully.
